Council has no objections to this application but have been approached by several parishioners with concerns over the opening time for the facility. Council would request that if this application were approved, a stipulation of not before 8am be added along with the only use of the facility is for exercise and not training.

212.22 CLERKS REPORT

All Correspondence from the June meeting has been dealt with.

The War Memorial al GDVG has been cleaned.

The fence post has been replaced at QMNR.

The new defibrillator has been delivered and is now operational. The circuit has been informed.

The trees at WMP have been cut back.

 

213.22 REPORT TO COUNCIL FROM OUTSIDE BODIES

District/County Cllr Coupland reported that both District and County are being hit by inflation and that the cost of services are going up which will in turn reflect in the Council Tax.

The Cemetery is in good order

b. Walker Memorial Park

The play equipment, Gym and seating is due for a pressure clean, A quote of £150.00 was discussed and RESOLVED.

Cllr Young mentioned the boundary fence between WMP and property to the right. Clerk to look into ownership.

c. Queen Mother Nature Reserve:

Meadow has been spot weed killed for Ragwort.

d. Gedney Dyke Village Green Play Area

The play equipment, is due for a pressure clean, A quote of £90.00 was discussed and RESOLVED

218.22 TO ADOPT UPDATED RISK ASSESSMENTS AS PUT BEFORE COUNCIL

Council RESOLVED to adopt the Assessments as put before them.

 

219.22 TO DISCUSS TRAINING FOR COUNCILLORS AND RESOLVE ACCORDINGLY

Cllr Riley to attend Virtual new Councillor training on September 13th.

 

220.22 GEDNEY PARISH COUNCIL HR AND PR COMMITTEES (Cllr Marchant)

Council informed Cllr Marchant that it does have a Personnel panel.

Council felt it did not warrant a PR committee.

 

221.22 HIGHWAYS & FOOTWAYS

a. Update on outstanding matters:

There have been 10 reports to Fix my street since last meeting.

The hedge on Hall gate at the back of The Paddocks in Gedney has been well cut back.

The footpath in GDE from Main Rs to Dawsmere Rd has been cut.

b. To report any new matters.
